Update on UMP Third Party Administrator

The Heath Care Authority (HCA) decided on September 28 that UMR will continue to provide TPA services for UMP through 2010.

HCA has determined that United Medical Resources (UMR) will continue to provide administrative services for the Uniform Medical Plan through 2010 as the interim Third Party Administrator (TPA). UMR has provided TPA service to UMP for a number of years.

As a result, no significant changes are expected for UMP in 2010. HCA will continue to contract with Washington professional providers and hospitals and UMR will continue to provide the out-of-state network through a contract with Beech Street.  UMR will also provide credentialing services for Washington network professional providers.
